(that’s what she said! Sorry, the man-child within me absolutely could not resist)
Here’s a nifty little service provided by Viewber that’s particularly useful for self-managing landlords (or landlords that are looking to ditch their letting agent to self-manage) and want to outsource those critical routine HMO inspections, to ensure everything is tickety-boo and running like a well-oiled machine.
Viewber offers landlords an on-demand, ad-hoc inspection service for landlords that either don’t want to or can’t conduct their own inspections.
I’ve already written an in-depth review of Viewber and their services (they offer a wide range of services for landlord), but today I just want to focus on their viewing services, which is particularly useful for HMO landlords.
Book inspection service online, confirming address, and desired date and time.
A “Viewber” attends the premises and conducts the inspection.
If no one will be available to allow the Viewber to enter the premises, key collection arrangements can be made.
Inspection service includes photographs, video and opinion, which will be provided after the inspection is complete.
Special and any specific requests from the landlord can be made during booking.
Does your management agent currently conduct your HMO inspections?
Viewber’s ad-hoc HMO inspection service has made it easier for more and more landlords to self-manage their properties, allowing them to flee from extortionate management fees.
With inflation soaring it’s becoming more difficult for landlords to turn a profit in the current climate, so it’s no surprise that low-cost solutions like Viewber are growing in demand. This is all possible because there are no contracts with Viewber, it’s entirely Pay as you go!
The reality is, many landlords only use fully management letting services because they can’t self-manage tasks like viewings and inspections. Of course, there are plenty of landlords that use management services because they don’t want to, and prefer taking a back-seat, far away from all the chaos, which is perfectly fine, and this service isn’t necessarily for them. Although, I firmly believe being aware of Viewber’s service whether you’re outsourcing the management or not, is useful, because you never know when you might need a service like theirs.
For example, if you need someone to attend the premises for an emergency inspection that your property manager cannot attend. Or, if you’re in-between management agencies and require a temporary inspection service during the interim.
Anyways, if you’re one of those landlords that can’t personally conduct inspections (for whatever reason) and therefore have relied on property management services, then Viewber might be a viable cost-effective alternative solution. Just saying.
If you use their service or plan on using them in the future, please feel free to drop a comment below and share your experience!
