How To Make A Workbook in Canva


Canva is a popular online graphic design tool allowing users to create stunning visuals easily. One of the many features of Canva is the ability to create workbooks. Here are the steps to create a workbook in Canva:

  1. Decide on the content. What problem can you solve for your readers?
  2. Pick the template. If you are selling this product, start with a blank design or template you have permission to use.
  3. Pick what fonts you want to use. Pick 2-3
  4. You also need to pick colors. You can match your branding or colors that fit the workbook vibe you want for your audience.

Prompt – My niche is creating digital printables with Canva. I want to create a workbook that helps digital creators keep track of their printables, inspiration for printables, and selling the printables.

  • Please make sure the questions are between 9 – 12 reading level.
  • Please break the tasks in each question down so that the question is manageable.

I asked Canva Magic Write and ChatGPT (Canva did ok, but ChatGPT gave me better exercises for sure)

#2 Pick Your Template

  • If you are selling, you want to pick a template you have permission to use- to sell. Check bundles; they always have amazing ebook/workbook templates- they should state commercial use.
  • In PIPs VIP, there are templates, and in Then Canva Clubhouse membership you also get templates. So, utilize the tools you have.

#3 Pick Fonts

  • Suggested Colors: Coral, Turquoise, Bright Yellow, and Fuchsia.

Then it is the fun part – adding in all the STUFF- images, content, elements, and details that will make the workbook POP! It’s best to have your content stored in Google Drive or even a Canva Doc so that way you just need to copy and paste it in and then use Canva Assistant to help rewrite or add more- just watch out for SPRINKLE Fairy Dust- It is a bit WOOWOO LOL, but hey it will work for some peoples content- just not this blog.

  3. Then you can change how the pages look by picking the layout.

After you load all your content into the workbook, make sure to align everything nice and neat- USE Rulers and Guides.
