“Came here to write that exact same scene,” another one responded.

A third commenter exclaimed, “Are we just gonna ignore the ‘Alien grabbing the child through the bars in the basement’ scene?”

“Same, was literally about to type that,” another user replied.

One user commented about the movie, “Props to M Night Shyamalan for making a simple scene scary.”

2. Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure

One user posted, “Large Marge. Worst accident I ever saw. (I was like 20 when I first saw Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, so there’s no excuse.) I didn’t watch it again for like 20 years.”

Another Redditor replied, “This was my answer.”

A third commenter shared,”I remember me and my cousin were kids watching that and being scared and trying to overcome the fear lol it being on vhs and all, we would try to pause/capture the exact moment it showed when she did that lol just the story and experience itself was so eerie itself, the intense feeling was just terrifying.”

“I was ready to get angry if this wasn’t the top comment when I opened the thread. I am not angry,” one user replied.

3. The Shining

Another Redditor replied, “Yes, it started great…”

Another one shared but with a different scene to share, “Mine was also from The Shining, but it was the scene with the guy in the bear costume giving the other guy head. Something so unsettling about it.”

4. Watership Down

Water Ship Down is a movie where when a young rabbit called Fiver (Richard Briers) has a vision that the end of his warren is nigh, he convinces seven other rabbits to join him in quest of a new home. Predators, a rat-infested cemetery, and a fast-flowing waterway all hinder their progress. Upon reaching their ultimate location, a slope named Watership Down, the rabbits discover that their adventure is still far from over.

One Redditor posted, “Have you ever seen Watership Down?”

Another user replied, “Oh god.”

“The fields are covered in blood….!”, another commented.

A user added, “That one rabbit in the snare, I didn’t know what was going on. I thought he had barbed wire through his throat.”
